In Boehner's back yard. President takes American Jobs Act to Speaker's home state of Ohio

Columbus, OH - First stop, Richmond, VA. Next stop, Columbus, OH. President Obama made his next move in the fight to get his American Jobs Act passed by stepping in Speaker Boehner's (R-OH) back yard on Wednesday. And it seems the crowd has picked up on the President's message. In a speech that targeted schools and infrastructure, the President paused several times to crowd chants of "Pass this bill."

The stop in Ohio continues a trend that has seen the President take his jobs bill to the heart of some of his staunchest Republican critics. The next question is whether voters in states like Virginia and Ohio will follow the President's lead to contact their elected officials.

President Obama made it clear. He is asking for Americans to raise their voices.

"So, I'm asking all of you to lift your voice - not just here in Columbus, but anybody who's watching, anybody who's listening, anybody who's following online - I need you to call and email and tweet and fax and visit and tell your Congressperson that the time for gridlock and the time for games is over - the time for action is now."
